Hey, Krys!

Great to hear this stuff. i had to send away for a copy of the "Plunderphonics" cassette that the Tape Beatles kindly recorded for me back in the '90s.

And was way psyched to find the "Rubiyat" CD that featured this Doors mix in a record store used bin.

I got a lot of Subgenius material from a bookshop in Paris. I stopped going there because of a woman who was a regular there (even worked there for a short while). A friend was in love with her, at his birthday we recognized each other and hit it off, which was extremely awkward

The Mamas and the Papas song Glad to Be Unhappy is all about unrequited love, as it touched the band members. Cass was in love with Denny, he only saw her as a friend, but Denny fooled around with Michelle which tore the whole band up.

This is 1959, tube electroncs, a whole different kettle of fish than solid state (which didn't become common in gear until maybe years later). Some audiophiles will swear tube gear distortion is musical (2nd order harmonics, make for smooth sound, as opposed to odd orders, which supposedly are harsh, more un-musical, even in much smaller amounts).
