used to leave my guitar in open tuning when my kid was toddling around and liked to hit the strings. only drawback is extra effort to play minor chords (if you’re tuned to an open major). DADGAD isn’t quite open, but is fun as a dronier drop-D alternative & all the fifths make major/minor a little easier to fudge

Hi Barney. I've been trying a DADEAD tuning. It's a suspended chord so it's easy to finger a minor or major chord with this tuning.
